B-Feeding Question

I'm still getting some stuff ready for this baby and it's time to stock up on.....drumroll please.....nursing pads (oh joy)! With Addison I used the disposable kind. I liked the Lansinoh kind the best, but they were sort of expensive and in hindsight I hate the idea of throwing them in the trash. What do you mamas out there use? I tried the Gerber reusable kind, but they didn't work. I may have washed them wrong or something. I've also heard some good things about those Lillipadz, but they're also a little pricey $22 and the website said they only last about two months.

Help please!

Don't Celia and Addison look like little old ladies ready to head off to the VFW for Bingo and possibly the bread outlet on the way home?

I use some washable ones from Target and they've worked great so far (3 months) It says not to dry them, but I do anyways and they're not ruined.

Can't help you with the nursing pads...but I can tell you that those two will probably be members of the red hat society someday :)

I just used the washable kind, and didn't have any problems with them. I didn't have to use pads for the entire year, but they seemed to hold up as long as I needed them. What problems did you have with the washable kind before?

Marie I used the Avent washable nursing pads and loved them, better than the disposables! They sell them at Babies R Us. I will tell you that it will take a couple of weeks for them to shape up, it was sort of annoying at first, but once they were shaped they worked great.

Wow! You got a lot of responses on this one. I really can't help you too much. I used (and am planning to use) the same disposable kind you did. But if you get any good tips let me know and I might think of trying it!

They are so cute!!

I had some washable cotton ones that were always visible through any bra, so I stopped using them. I wanted wool ones because I heard they are really soft and you use this lanolin soap when you wash them and it makes the soothing, and wool has natural antibacterial properties, plus they are supposed to be really absorbant... but I never got around to ordering any, and then it was too late!
