Where's a Duggar when you need her?

I hate packing. Hate it, hate it, hate it. The thing I hate most about packing are all of the decisions that you have to make. What should I wear? What's the weather going to be like? What are we going to be doing? How should I wear my hair? Should I bring stuff for curly hair or stuff for straight hair or both (I never said I was low maintenance)? When you have kids you have to make these decisions three times. Then there are my suitcases. I either have a giganto suitcase or a too small suitcase. I hate this. Help me please. I've been doing this for 3 hours. 3 hours! Who takes 3 hours to pack?! Me, apparently.

blagh.

Oh, and p.s. it's easier to give birth to a baby and bring her home then it is to adopt a cat in Kansas. Just thought I'd tell you. Apparently they had a few concerns about us. Give me a break.

I always make a packing list. It takes a little time, but once it's done, everything else is easy. I shouldn't be giving out packing advice, though, as last time I travelled I took three suitcases plus a bag of shoes for one long weekend. Ha!

I agree. I always make a list too. The more children you have (and if you have to pack for the hubby too, which I always do) the harder it is to remember everything. A list makes it SO much easier.

I wish I lived closer...I'd come over we'd have coffee and I'd sit on your bed and help you decide.
Oh and while I was sitting on the bed I'd be feeding Ainsley and then periodically checking on Addison who would be having a tea party genteely (sp?) bossing her stuffed animals around...Ahh...what a perfect day.

Oh and yeah my kids would probably somewhere in my little fantasy being perfect Angels :).

Miss you friend.

I met a Mom at Spring Canyon who packed for her kids using ziplocks. Everything for that outfit to include socks and undies were in the ziplock. All she or the kids had to do was grab a ziplock. Dirty clothes off...back in the ziplock. Now THAT is organized! Bet she started weeks in advance...I was so happy when my kids could pack for themselves.
I agree with the list. I make out a list for each day with EVERYTHING for that outfit(s). It is mindless to get dressed and I don't say, "where is" or "why didn't I bring", etc. THEN, the best part...I have a packing list for the NEXT trip! That's why in all my travel pictures I seem to be wearing the same thing over and over.....ha, ha
