Crazy details

Remember how I bought that Palm Centro to help me stay organized with everything happening in my life? Not happening! I continue to try to keep all these dates and times in my head. Well there are so many details in there I think I am going to explode! I hate being busy. I am so not cut out for the life of a soccer mom. I think I'll quit while I'm ahead (ahead meaning I do not own a minivan or have a child that plays soccer).

We're back to me emailing Devin my work schedule and then asking him on a regular basis when I work again. We're also back to forgetting birthdays and anniversaries.

Time for a fresh start!

I'm such a mess. It's a good thing God loves me despite of my, um, issues!

I bought my blackberry for the same reason. Sadly, I've never figured out how to sync it with my computer calendar. Darn.

But, the blackberry is awesome for internet surfing at work, so all is not lost.

If you are opent to suggestions I've got lots...(perhaps I'll write a blog post about scheduling??)... Anyway I hope you can find a system that works best for you. Glad you'r back safe from your trip...Miss you...

Soccer Mom is a learned behavior. More often than not, it does not come naturally...
I prefer spontaneity to schedule, but in a realistic world of work and family...it can be chaos, unnecessary stress and crying.
Take your schedule challenges in small steps to convert them to successes...over time, you will be amazed!
Me personally? The huge Office Depot calendar on the front of our refrigerator is my brain! And it is visible for ALL to see.

I second the BIG calendar idea. When we were looking for one in Portland, Dan didn't get discouraged by the high price tags - he made one for us! We took a piece of white poster board and I measured out calendar squares then wrote the days of the week in permanent marker. Then we covered the whole thing with clear contact paper. Dan was very pleased that we made it for less than $5, but then I ruined it by buying really nice markers to write on it with :)

ps- i thought of you when I went to Target on Saturday. I was chanting in my head the whole time "binder, binder" and even though I was very tempted, I got out of there only having spent $2.09 on the binder I went there for. It is hard though. and I WILL tell you you are FAR from the only mom in Target with crying children/infants. FAR from it.
